Step 6 – Financial Hardship
The Land Transport Act provision for a Limited Licence requires that you will experience extreme hardship if you were not to be granted a Limited Licence. Therefore you are required to illustrate to the court what your rent/ mortgage and monthly expenses are, that will not be able to be met with your income, should you not be able to drive.

Step 7 – Driving Boundary
As part of the required driving limit, the Police require a driving boundary be imposed. You are not permitted to drive outside that driving boundary at any time during your Limited Licence period.

If your northern boundary is Christchurch then we enclose all of Christchurch in your driving allowance, and your Southern boundary is Timaru, then Timaru is enclosed.
